Decoupaged Tray

My sister mentioned to someone that she didn't have a tray, so I thought I'd try to make her one for Christmas.  Well, I didn't build it, I only decorated it. :)
I almost forgot to take a photo before I finished the project, but here's what I started off with.
The camera wouldn't focus so I had to put something on the tray!
I then painted it with beige and light blue colours to match the pictures that I was going to decoupage onto it:
I cut out the pictures from one of those big sheets of pictures that I got from my local craft store, and decoupaged 4 of them onto the tray.  And sprayed some varnish over it after it dried.  As easy as that!

I think it's quite cute...I kinda wanna keep it for myself now, hehe.  But I hope she likes it too!

I have a tray like that lying about in my craft room... picked it up some 6 years ago when we went to New Zealand. And the poor thing stares into my face and cries to be decoupaged. My mum who was visiting us suggesed that she would paint it for me. I never got down to getting the paints out for her inspite of several reminders from her.

Now that I have seen your lovely tray I may get inspired and all the credit will go to you, Monique.

Thanks,
M
