Remember to enter my Who Made What? Weekends! #7 linky party this weekend! (open until Monday night this week!)
If you'd like a friendly review of your blog, link up at My Repurposed Life! Now's the chance to get an honest opinion of your blog. It should be interesting! I've read some of their reviews and they're really friendly about it. :)
Also, the purpose of this blog hop is also to allow anyone who links up to comment and critique on any of the other blogs linked up (some constructive criticism on things like layout, readability, sidebars etc)...so, if you have one, please give me your opinion about my blog too! It's always good to get an opinion from a third party - take or leave it, it's your choice! But remember...be nice, 'K? Tnx, any reviews are appreciated! :)
.
Monique-thanks for linking up and adding the blog hop code to your site!
ReplyDeleteI think you have a very nice blog.
I would recommend that you change the color of your text. I love the color of the background, but find it difficult to read the text.
Your links don't open in a new window, I think it's important to keep your visitors on your site, not hunting for you with their "back" button. (email me)
I'm not sure if you have your email attached to your profile. If you do not, then when you comment on someone's blog, they cannot email you a response. (that means you may be a no-reply blogger)
good luck with your blog, I hope that you get some great feedback through this hop!

Hello my dear....thank you so much for linking up to our little blog hop. I am thrilled that you took a risk and jumped in. I love the softness you are infusing with your blog. My gentle suggestion is to change the font color. Depending on the monitor...this font color with the background might be a tad too similar. You don't want someone to miss your lovely thoughts. Also...go ahead and move up your followers to right underneath you. Time is crucial in getting and keeping followers. In fact they decide in less than 1 minute if they will follow...so entice them even more by making it all right there for them to utilize. :) Once again these are just gentle thoughts. I know that taking a risk and putting yourself out there is very scary, but you should feel so proud and empowered. I hope that you are not a no-reply when dealing with comments. I always love being able to respond to my bloggers. Also...if you need anything, Gail and I would love to help. Just let us know what we can do. :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great start to the week, and I hope this is the beginning of seeing more of you in the little blog world. :)
Cheers~

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such nice comments on my flower tutorials. Appreciate your recommendation about Repurposed Life - I'm definitely going to check them out.
ReplyDeleteHello! I think your crafts are pretty amazing :)
ReplyDeleteAs far as the blog, it does seem a little bit confusing when you first open it. I tried to click on the header links at first and it went to the photo of the header. I would remove "scrapbooking, cards, reading, crafts" or put it into text that doesn't look like clickable tabs.
It would also be great if your tabs stretched the length of the blog without going into two lines.
...and this is just me, but the font is a little difficult to read...that's probably just my sorry eyes :)
I also love the faded background with the leaves falling and I love that you have so many easy ways to navigate across your blog. You have a LOT of content!!
