The theme this time is "Buttons & Bows" - so that speaks for itself really!
Here's my card:
For the background, I tore strips (or pieces) of dark pink vellum and light pink marbled paper and glued them on. Here's my little bow:
The glue you see there behind the bow is part of the glue dot that I SHOULD have cut smaller before pasting it on the card...*sigh* |
I made little satin fabric flowers - I got the idea from Vintage Wanna Bee. All you do is cut out circles in varying sizes, singe the edges on a candle flame and glue (or sew) them together.
I cut 3 circle sizes for each flower (out of pink satin fabric scraps), then glued the petals together, and glued a button on top. A fun way to recycle fabric scraps! I'm not a fan of using buttons in crafts (at the moment anyway....this may change if I build up a cool collection of buttons), because the only buttons I have on hand right now are a few of those spare ones you get when you buy clothes.
