Pink Rose Gift Box

This cute little box I made for Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge, Challenge # 29!
The sketch for this challenge was this:
I saw that some of the DT members made little gift boxes instead of cards, so I thought I'd do the same! It's a welcome break from making only cards this last while. :)  (not that cards are not fun...but ya know).
So I used a gift box template from my template stash, that most closely resembled the sketch as I could get.  I used "gift box with handle" that I found on Homemade-Gifts-Made-Easy.Com. I glued the template onto a really lovely scrapbook paper and cut it out.

Here's a close up of the front decorating:
Unfortunately I didn't have a button to use for this project, because if I used any button from my measly stash of buttons, it would have ruined this gift box.  So I used a mini organza rose instead (fortunately I have a few hundred of these in stock left over from my wedding!).
Because this box template didn't have a flap as required in the sketch, I cut out a piece (half circles) of white paper, and another piece of the same scrapbook paper that I used to make the box with, with fancy scissors, and glued them in layers on the front of the box.
I then glued some ribbon lace to the top, and glued small white pearly beads to the ribbon as well.

I wanted to add a beaded dangly to the box as well, so I made this one, that I glued to the lace with a glue dot:
On the handle of the box I tied a white organza ribbon, and attached a small pink rose to the centre of the ribbon by wrapping the wire of the rose around the ribbon knot.  Unfortunately I only had one of these little roses, otherwise I would have used another one of these instead of the white rose I glued to the front of the box.
And that's my little box! :) I really love how it turned out! :D
