Remember to enter my Who Made What? Weekend! linky party this weekend!
This card I made for The Pixie Cottage, Challenge # 52!
The sketch we had to work with was this:
And there was a technique challenge of "Using your favourite colouring method". Well, I haven't yet learned how to colour in stamps nicely (nor do I have those fancy pens with which to colour them in!), so I just coloured in my stamp with ordinary pencils...but I really wanted to use one of the really cute digi stamps I'd won from another card challenge, so....just excuse the colouring!
I used a pretty flowery pink paper for the background. I printed my Little Honey Cupcake from Sassy Studio Designs onto white card stock, cut it out with my scalloped scissors, inked the edges and glued it onto the card. Instead of colouring in the cupcake paper, I glued it up with my glue pen and added some white glitter - it's the first time I'm using white glitter, and I think it adds a lovely sparkle to things without making it look glittery!
I tied a little pink bow and added it to the card (I suppose I should have used a heart to match the challenge, but a bow suited this card better!). I also added some bling to the bow (and to each corner of the card):
To balance it out, I added a button on the other side of the circle. I tied some sparkly iridescent string through the button too:
And then I stamped a sentiment with my little individual letter stamps onto white card stock, also inked the edges, and glued that to the bottom of the card:
And that's it! :D
