Digital Party Invitation

I made this invite for my parent's 60th b'day party later this year, using MyMemories Suite Digital Scrapbooking Software - there are so many things you can do with this other than scrapbooking. :D  This was very handy, since the invites all went out via email.
What's fun about this software is that you can take designs and pictures from anywhere (I got this background design from the net) and incorporate them into the program - you're not bound to only use their pictures and backgrounds.
The flowers are from their program and I was able to use the program as well to design the wording, eg the "60" I made 3D and I could bend the wording too to form an arch.

Anyway, just thought I'd show what else you can do with this software.  Another idea coming soon! :D

P.S.  remember that if you want to buy this program, use my special discount code in my right side bar over here somewhere ----->, and you'll get $10 off!

Very Blue B'day Card

I made this card for The Sweet Stop's sketch challenge:
I Cuttlebugged blue card stock and glued it onto the white card base, and decorated some more white card stock with which to embellish the card further.  The white card stock at the back was dabbed over with an ink pad to give it some colour, and the b'day piece was cut out with fancy scissors and the edges inked as well, and mounted on 3D dots.

I added some ribbons at the back to follow the sketch design, and added a lot of blings & flowers....and a butterfly.
And ta-da!  A very blue b'day card is born. :)

Butterfly Folding Card - Green

I made this card for Allsorts Challenge Blog, Challenge # 85!
The theme for this challenge is Fancy Fold cards, so I tried my first folding card!  (not sure if it qualifies as "fancy" folding, but here it is anyway!):
This is the front.  I used a really pretty scrapbook paper with sparkly patterns on it.  The butterfly is sparkly too, but it doesn't show well on this photo.

I made a b'day card - I stamped a sentiment on white card stock with a matching green ink (it's totally a coincidence that I happened to have matching paper, ink and pearls...cool!).  I inked the edges with purple ink, and glued on green pearls, and 3D mounted it onto the card.
I added cream pearl to the card corners:
Here's what the card looks like open:

I cut 3 pieces from the same scrapbook paper and glued it onto 3 sides of the card - the front, the first inside "page" and the last inside "page".  The centre I left blank so that one can write a message there.  I just stamped some butterflies along the top and bottom in green and purple inks:
And that's it! :D

Another B'day Card

This weekend is my mum's b'day, so I made her a little card today.  I used some pretty 6x6 inch card stock and folded in it half, and used a heart shaped punch to make the holes for tying the card closed with a purple ribbon.
I stuck a golden ribbon on the card with double sided tape, made a little bow with the same purple ribbon and added some gold beading to the bow to make a cute little dangle, and stuck this on the golden ribbon using sticky stripes (like sticky dots except it's stripy).
And I ended it off with a Happy Birthday stamp inside the card:
These ribbons are just from scraps I had in my ribbon box - I never throw any ribbon away if I think it's long enough for me to find something useful to do with it!

B'day Card

I ordered some stencils and couldn't wait to try them out on my first stencil project (if you can call it a project)!  There was a b'day coming up so I decided to make a simple stencilled card:

I just glued on a silver Happy B'day confetti over the balloon and stuck some confetti balloons inside the card with raised foam stickers (because I like giving some 3D).  I made a little window so that the balloons can be seen from the outside (because I like little windows).  :)

Happy B'day Card

This is my first attempt at a fancy card.

I don't have all the card making goodies yet, so I improvised a little.  The card is made from the glossy back cover of a booklet of scrapbooking paper that I bought. Then I stuck on some glitter design card stock that I had.  I used acrylic paint to paint the happy b'day stamp and stamp it on white paper and then I cut it out with fancy scissors and painted the edges and stuck it to the card with raised foam stickers.
I used a cream ribbon and tied it around the card and stuck it down with sticky a dot, and to make it look a little more interesting, I tied a piece of gold ribbon into the cream one.

And then the puppy got a hold of the card and chewed on one of the corners, so I stuck some corner stickers over it to cover it.
