White Christmas Wreath

I love this wreath I just finished! :D  It was inspired by Krafty Kat (she has a tutorial on this), and it looked so simple and pretty that I just had to try it too. :)
It's made out of a wire hanger, plastic sandwich baggies and Christmas decorations from last year.  I used roughly 150 small baggies, and tied them around the wire after I shaped it into a circle.  The hook part of the hanger I bent down so as to make a loop so that the wreath can be hung up by it.  You have to push the tied baggies tightly together around the wreath to get this poofy effect. :)
And then I added (with a glue gun) some mini Christmas baubles that I still had stored in a sealed packet since last year Christmas, because I didn't know what to do with them as my Christmas tree already had TONS of ornaments on.  And then tied on a (plastic) candy cane too - because sweets are yum, and I love the little mistletoe on there.
Doesn't this look too special?!?!  Who'd have thought plastic sandwich bags could ever make something so pretty? :)  I can't wait to hang it up tomorrow!

This is fun! I bet my students would enjoy this project. I'll have to file this one away for parent gifts.

I made a wreath like this way back in the mid 70's for my Mom and she hung it on the front door for years at Christmas. I might try one again this year.
